Idols
Job 40:4 New English Translation (NET Bible)
4 “Indeed, I am completely unworthy—how could I reply to you?
I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.
Where does mankind escape to today? What does he adore?
Nature changes or does it now. Climate is an unpredictable fact
Is this not part of nature as one does not know what to expect?
Is human nature different? Do we really know what to project?
It seems a given and not a hindrance as instinct is now on track
Survival seems deeply ingrained in the flesh’s uttermost
Without it appears lifeless, almost like a forlorn ghost
Wasn’t man in yesteryear falling down before statues of cats?
Or a golden calf to remove fears and uncertainty’s all of that?
Where does man bow down today? Is the heart’s peace near?
Is it in excessive ways to play or in the abundance of wine and beer?
How to fill the core of emptiness with mostly misguided artificial
There to embrace a chosen loneliness until the end’s final gavel
In these falls and addictions who will then get the blame?
We know it’s not the victim but all powers beyond shame
Personal responsibility has broken through the will‘s way
Into the marsh of filth somehow with its many forms of decay
It seems it will only get worse as the swamp never gets full
As hell expands to undergird the curse in receiving mostly fools
No end in sight with deprivation as what’s sown seems sufficient
As now iniquity and sin as are now the norm for the lost proficient
Flesh is where it all started as “dust to dust” seems slow in coming
When all breath has departed tranquility will silently be humming
A song in peaceful harmony with only the Spirit of God directing
A beautifully designed symphony for God’s family towards perfection
