Controlling

Tue, 02/04/2020 - 13:38 -- Walask

You made me your doll,

your puppet on strings.

I am your voodoo doll,

the one you keep stabbing

straight in the back.

I am the one you push

away, until I look like

the apple you keep dropping

onto the pavement.

Thanks to you,

I found a dream career.

Thanks to you,

I have the possibility to move

across the Earth.

Thanks to you,

I get to flee from the mention of you.

I want to be

the puppet

who was free of strings.

the voodoo doll

who removed the pin from her back.

the doll

who was no longer made from glass.

Thanks to you,

I am a stronger being.

Thanks to you,

I will be successful.

Thanks to you,

I found motivation

to stop you

from being controlling.
