In The Bush

Location

New Zealand

I lie in the sleeping bag

wrapped up tight

stars shining bright above the tent

sheltering me from the wet

The trees cast shadows

Moonlight shining onto me

Swaying patterns move with

the breeze

softly blowing outside

As I lay warm inside

Far away ruru call

soft sounds from all around

keep me awake

as I begin sucumbing

ao the call of sleep
