Prom Night

She saw it on the TV, and pictures within magazinesGirls in shiny reds, pale blues, and even matte greensTheir hair all curled and their face made just right. Her favorite part was the boys with flowers; The men who would start one amazing night. And once upon a time it was finally her turnTo dress her best and pin her hairTo wear shiny red with a face made just rightTo have a boy help create one amazing nightMost importantly It was that day that she began to realize Prom was more than just laughing on the dance floorIt was one step closer to the graduation doors.
