Open Windows and Moonlight
We wanted nothing more than to be
Together.
And so there we lay,
Skin to skin, bone to bone, and we watched
and we noticed
The way our chests began to rise and fall
in unison.
Little inhales of each other's warm breath
and exhales that turned into hushed laughter and soft kisses.
I watched the world go by in airplanes and closing curtains.
And I didn't mind.
Because they were no longer my world.
As far as I was concerned,
All that existed was us
And we shone and glittered and glistened.
