Peter Pan's Dream

I don't want to go grow up

In fact I don't want to grow old

They tell you that youth is everything

They tell you that youth is the most precious of all things

But I know that my youth is an obstacle

My youth is a lack of understanding

My youth is an inside look into the person I have yet to become

I want my wrinkles to write novels

I want my age to fight wars

I want my elderly apperance to teach kindness

I want others to view years as badages of honors, not scars to be hidden

Peter Pan wanted to close his eyes from the world

Wendy wanted to ignore her problems

The Lost Boys held fear in their eyes for what was to come

I don't want to live in a dream but create my own

My years will not define my value, my actions will.
