My piece illustrates the relationship between a mother and her children. Young

children are especially dependent on their parents and the lack of guidance from the

people they love and rely on can have a severe impact on how they grow up. In the

The United States, the forced separation of undocumented children from their parents

is a cruel, unjustified and absolutely not what the country is meant to signify. In my

illustration, I wanted to portray how pulling away a mother from her children creates

a domino effect that will pull those abandoned children into darkness.
