Why Question it

Living in a fairytale...
I'll be the knight in shining armor
you'll be the heavenly princess
that I'll pursue after
As heavenly as she is
She is not mine to have
Forbidden!!!
She is.
the sound of the word
brings a shiver to my spine.
NOT!!!!
This is the love that's oh so divine
Our elders say we must not become one
I think they're being illiterate and dumb
who are they to question our love.
shouldn't we be the destiny holders to our selves?
but what am i thinking?
trying to escape reality.
reality is as fickle as it can be
love is catechized everywhere.
our love must remain hidden in the shadows
until i gather my noble steed
and gallop away into the luminous sunset
where are love will blossom and strengthen
with each graceful trotter.
