i see you
i can see you there,
standing in your fear,
rooted to the earth,
face covered in tears;
i can see you watching,
and judging with raised eyes,
now you've turned around,
back to buying lies.
your head is swimming with worry,
as you think of what tomorrow might bring,
and you wonder when this winter will end,
and when will come the peaceful spring.
but yet, when it does,
your eyes are still wide open;
anxious about summer,
and still judging me; broken.
