The Morning

I woke up this morning to a weird view;
I looked out my window and saw the sun blue.

As I stared at the world, I had to blink
For the madness around me had turned the sky pink.

This was before, as I would soon see,
I noticed the grass was as white as could be.

As I looked all around, my eyes began to lie
For all around me were purple clouds in the sky.

My room was as weird as the world outside;
My bed had wheels to take me for a ride.

The rug on the floor had the fur of a cat,
And the pillow by my head had become a top hat.

The bookcase was empty but for some large mice,
And all my school pencils were turned into mice.

The whole world was crazy but for
The Bible that had stayed by my bed before.

I woke up right after, for all was a dream.
But I had changed for the good it would seem.

I had learned that I might live in a crazy world,
But the one thing that would never change is God’s Word.
