The smell of roses fills the room.
I’ve been down this road and back again in and out of this lonely tomb.
Shadows dance through the night
Laughing at my funny fright.
I’ve been down this road and back again
Hoping, wishing, and praying that it would all be over by 10.
Time rushing by I have to go.
Can I stay? No.
I’ve been down this road and back again.
My mother wonders where I’ve been.
What a surprise…
Oh no … it’s my mother’s birthday…
The smell of roses fills the room
And the angry feelings bloom.
I’m late and worst of all I didn’t buy my mom a gift
Because my mind has been floating adrift.
The smell of roses fills the room
And guess what… everything that I’ve worked for goes BOOM!
