The Barbed Wire Must Come Down

The thought of freedom

Weighing him down

Pointless suffering

was evil’s hour

“We must face it.”

This philosophy of hate and force

In the hush of horror

An insane hope rising

“A great honor of….”

The care of God

A whispered hymn

As flowers bloomed

Became doorways to heaven

“... love is greater!”

The truth blazed like sunlight in the shadows

“Give thanks in all circumstances.”
