Breathe life into me
Read me aloud
Feel the familiar sensation of words often said
And bring me to life
We living things
Like to scream into a void
Cold and careless to our concerns
We yell not to be heard
But for the joy that the act of creation brings
Say me
And change me
And make me live
And in return
I'll give you the joy of breathing life
Into something once extinct
So scream me if you wish
If you want to be heard
Or whisper me to no one
I'm here just the same
Even if it's only for a second
My lifetime is long to me
I'm just a silly little poem
Not meant to be heard
But yearning to be said
This poem is about:
Me
Our world
