Epiphony
Love,
I didn’t know,
That you were always there;
In the touch of hands between friends,
In the embrace of family.
I didn’t know,
That you were so quiet;
When he left flowers by the door,
When she tucked in her sleeping son.
I didn’t know
That you could grow so much;
A strong conviction of what’s true,
A lighthouse beaming in the dark.
I am sorry,
I’ve spent my life chasing;
A love that was superficial,
When real love was already there.
