Sacrifice

2 Samuel 24:24

24 But the king said to Araunah, “No, I insist on buying it from you!

I will not offer to the Lord my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.”

So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.

Sacrifice

To sacrifice what does not cost.

To give what has no value

and to expect a grateful heart

to praise and adore you.

Value isn’t in the eye of the receiver,

but in the heart of the giver.

To give your all without holding back

will make the "bad" one shiver.
