A Midnight Moment

A slow breath out

Exhale cool mint tendrils of fog

Blink off ice crystals

Snow settled on eyelashes

As you lay on your back

Face to the heavens above

And breathe in,

And breathe out

The midnight winter air

Enjoy these peaceful moments now

For in a few hours, dawn will steal them away

For the daytime

Though bright and brilliant,

We look forward to Night

And her soothing soft touch
