Uncapturable Beauty

Uncapturable Beauty

I’m thinking of you, though we haven't spoke in a while

I look at your photograph and can't help but smile

At your incredible beauty that leaves me enraptured

Though even the best picture cannot capture

The aura of happiness that did surround

Your long brown hair cascading down

Around your beautiful face;

With happy eyes and soft pink lips.

My heart begins to race

As I trace them with my finger-tips

And recall your warm embrace

The gentle curve of your perfect hips

And how you walk with grace

I remember how much I miss your kiss

I’d give anything just to have this:

One more adventure with you

To go hiking in search of the perfect view

To journey together with our hands entwined

Because another like you is something I’ll never find
