For All?

Wed, 03/29/2017 - 14:39 -- AALaRae

With liberty and justice for all

On deaf ears these words seem to fall

No liberty for the poor no justice for the brown

Spilling oil on the reservations to avoid a white town

Profits over people, anything to make a buck

Calling lazy anyone who's down on their luck

Got the right skin tone the right genitals the right money

And soon you'll find yourself in charge of the country

Race over gender and gender over qualification

These are the values that contribute to the state of our nation

They tell us to be the change we want to see

Yet call us snowflakes when we refuse to listen to the lies of the presidency

Change is coming and it may good or bad

We need to stand together to say "we're not going back"
