Hidden
Every night,
she locks the door.
Every night,
she hides before,
her mothers tears.
Her fathers hate.
To ease her fears.
Her father is a broken timer,
always going off.Her mother is a mouse,
fast but so small.
Her closet is her cave.
Hidden from the world.
Her house is her hell
And it's always burning.
Her father was her friend.
Now a war cannon.
Her mother was her guide.
Now nothing.
Every night,
she cries until she sleeps.
Every night,
she feels alone.
The closet walls,
consume her hate.
Those walls,
from the worlds she wishes she could create.
No one sees,
this hidden sanctuary.
No one knows
what this world holds.
