Adult Zone

Away we go

Bouncing along the

Cracked sidewalk

Daring one another to step on one, not thinking of our mothers

Elegies.

For we are young and what do we know.

God, remember when we were young?

How easy our lives were, only

Ideas of what the world held for us.

Juggling naps, and play dates. Very busy

Kings of the playground

Little were our minds

Massive is the world.

Nearby was the

Occasion of growing up

Peering through the window. How

Queer it was to think of growing older. It was

Rapidly approaching like a

Snake hidden in the dandelions.

Time, lead-footed, is he

Unfortunately is catching up in the race. The

Verdict is that life is now all about

Winning and losing. It’s no longer about finding the

X that marks our hidden treasure of

Youthful thoughts and actions. We are now entering the Adult

Zone.
