I Can Make A Difference
My dreams are the foundation of my success
When I reach my goal I will not rest.
People say I can't save the world, but I'll try
Doing the best I can and playing my part until the day I die.
Like an actor on a stage
I'll be an example, pacing like I'm in a rage.
I won't waste time
My heart urges me to fight crime.
What is it I cannot do?
Sit and watch for the rest of my youth.
Hey, I can make the difference,
And so can you!
What do you want to do?
The choice is up to you.
You can go with me to fight to keep our world great,
Or you can be like many others and let it deteriorate
I want to leave you with this one thought
Your children, grandchildren, and great's they'll all walk this walk
It's all up to you and me on what to do
So what do you want to do?
There's nothing God can't do
He says ask and it shall be given to you
So if all you do is pray, it's nothing less
Because you are still making a difference!

I really love this poem! I admire your aspirations to make a difference in life! Continue writing and standing up for what you believe in and with God, anything is possible. I didn't expect you to write about prayer towards the end of the poem but, it was such a beautiful ending. I also think your poem started off with such a powerful line..."My dreams are the foundation of my success." I think you should write another poem about those dreams! I bet that poem would be just as inspiring! :)
