Ode to the Universe

My doors are closed, yet I know you are still with me

Who are you beyond what I already know? I want to know.
Will I know?

I drive farther North
hoping to have you all to myself
with no city noise, only the grasshoppers’ rubs

My breathing is heavy now,
I am anxious at this moment because I see your full beauty!

At an extent without any lenses or technologies
Yet I can still experience this moment with such an awe

my left eye waters and the other eye follows, I’m in tears

 smiling

I lift my hands in the air and stare!
focusing my eyes to my skin and in between my fingertips and out to you

I know I am not alone

I can observe time from gazing at you
The past, the future, and the present
What a present

From star to star
I wonder if I am also being observed from a far

Some one else or something else

feeling the same

on the ground or on the water
wondering
about my existence

You are so much more than your name
‘your name is but a title’

When I die, you will continue to exist
and for eternity many more will notice
and not feel alone
and fall in love

with you,

my Universe
