Ink Stained Hands

I’m the girl with the

Ink stained hands from

So much writing

But you wouldn’t notice because

You’re so far away and you

Only know what I tell you and

You’re oblivious to everything else

Including my ink-stained hands.

These ink-stained hands have written

So much about you but

You’ll never know because

I don’t let anyone see my journal

Lest they know all my secrets that

I try so hard to hide.

These ink stained hands have

Felt you, loved you yet

You try so hard to discourage

The girl with the ink stained hands that

Has written you a million love letters but

You’ll never see them because you chose her over

Me.

I’m the girl with the

Ink stained hands from

So much writing

But you won’t notice me.
