Renewal
I often desecrate myself,
Along with the past deeds I have done.
I shift through my memory cabinets to shun,
All those foolish words I spilled out of my trap.
Those actions that I should not have taken,
Those opportunities I frittered away due to procrastination and fear.
But as I awake each day to a cheery Mickey Mouse plush,
Whose optimistic smile remind of my power,
To forego my past and reinvent myself,
Towards an un-regrettable future.
