Words are powerful.

They are the means by which people can be broken or healed.

Words are cannoballs.

As soon as they are fired, it cannot be reversed. 

The damage can only be repaired.

And maybe never forgotten.

My 11th grade English teacher told us.

Words as hard as cannonballs 

Can be beautiful, when used with good intentions.

Behind them is an army of meaning, of concreteness.

They fly through the air with confidence, proud to be said.

So be careful:

Words as hard as cannonballs can be beautiful, 

But destructive.
