It's cold and dark here
It's cold and dark here on my own
my breath is fading, suffocating
and I can't seem to find my home
I thought my home was here with you,
but just like every other place
the faces change, names rearrange
and still I end up all alone
forced to watch as life anew
slowly fades before my eyes
heart is frozen, love departed
no more need to compromise
I thought this time would be forever,
believing in those sacred vows
I loved you deep and without measure, but you couldn't even see the treasure
standing right in front of you.
