Mourning
The world is better without her
She is silent
As she should be
She was a mistake
Rejected by God
Asking her purpose
Her mother can hear the silent sobs, but offers no comfort.
Her mind constantly mocks her.
Telling her she is not good enough
She can’t handle it anymore.
Taking a deep breath
She swallows her tears.
Should she be feeling this worthless?
Only meaning something to one person?
She is not worth listening to.
Shouldn’t she have discovered herself by now?
Everyone else has.
The gun lays beside her cold, blue, lifeless body.
Gripped tightly in her right hand is the gun.
In her left is a blood soaked hand written note.
The paper too soiled to read the words.
The image stuck in her friends minds,
Giving them nightmares every night.
The once white tile floors,
Stained red.
Her mother falls into depression,
And a cycle is begins.
