Re-evaluation

Re-evaluation
Sometimes it’s good for a man to stand tall, admit he has a problem, and re-evaluate his life. Unfortunately life has a way of rendering us humans helpless and more so those men who are sentimental, poetic, and hopeless romantics. Love is a powerful, yet torturous element. At one point it can put two people high on a pedestal and with a blink of an eye swallow them in a treacherous pit of quick sand. The latter begins to eat at your hopes, dreams, kisses, promises made, touches, songs dedicated, letters written, and ultimately your HEART.

Thus herein begins a new chapter in my life. I decided to pick myself up from the hole in which the devil, depression, despair, and loneliness buried me 12 ft under. I thank God, my family and my grandma (RIP) for giving me the strength to find the road to redemption, safe-heaven, and hope which in turn has given me, as Bob Marley states, “freedom of mental slavery.”
