It seems to me,
that as humans.
We act better as mirrors,
than as windows.

We act and believe,
as others would want to see.
Our glassy surfaces are not,
those of transparency.
Rather than a shine,
of reflectivity.

We do not let others,
see who we really are.
Instead,
we wear our mirrored masks.
Reflecting back,
to the eyes of the viewer.
Not what we want to be,
but what the viewer chooses to see.
