How would you feel

Not being whole

Being called “freak”

Because you don’t possess feet.

There are many in this position

With the tables turned against them

Not being allowed a chance

Due to their crippled condition.

However, there is a job that

Could end or combat

The horrible fate

Of being confined to a chair.

If I were

To become a

Biomechanical engineer

I could repair this.

Some people deserve

A second chance

A new lease on life

An end to their strife.

An engineer of this sort

Could change another’s life

That’s why I want

To become a biomechanical engineer.
