Rain
Rain, rain go away
Come again another day
But still you fall down the slope
Slickening my only rope
Making it hard to hold on
And easy to fall until I’m gone
“Stop the downpour,” I keep callin’
But still this rain keeps fallin’
Filling up every space
Pushing into my face
I’m drowning in my troubles
All I can see is rain and bubbles
It’s now or never, do or die
If only I could simply fly
But instead I’m stuck here
Being pummeled by fear
So I grab onto my last hope
I pull and tug and climb that rope
Then find some higher ground for me
To wait until I’m free
From this rain, rain that won’t go away
It’s here to fall yet another day.
