Neurotic? Not At All...

Location

Eyes glued center stage,

A voice once silent, roaring

In fueled aggression. Peers

Who never once thought

About caring, suddenly

Listening. Afraid? Shocked?

Both? Maybe.

Inspiration turning in those

Dulled brains of theirs.

                                Cue applause

                             Now bow

                They’re all yours

Neurotic? No not at all…

A writer with justice and

A voice to be hear? Hell yes.

They’re listening, leaning in

Close, enticed to the edge of

The seat. Just ready to fall off.

                                Cliff hanger

                                Making them want more

                Now end it.

Hear the instructor say,

“That’s the first time I’ve seen them so interested.”

Take pride in those words. Smile and rejoice.

Acknowledgement of such talent is magnificent.

Neurotic? Not at all…

A writer? Hell yes.
