Letter to My Future Wife

Dear Future Wife,

I have no idea where you are, and to be honest I really don’t care

until I meet you I’ll just imagine laying next to the scent of your hair

I’ll just dream of the nights that we’ll share together

The nights where we cuddle up and observe bad weather

The nights where we argue then we have to make up

Then that nights turn into the difficulty to wake up

I’m getting ahead of myself, I just want to find you and meet you

So that I can smile, and nod, and then romantically greet you

And appreciate all of the specificities of your face

Take you in in 5 ways, including touch, sight and taste

I want you to mentally touch me, caress me with your words

entice me with your language, make me forget about your curves

I don’t care about your body yet, what’s going on in your mind?

Besides the sex, I wanna see if you’re really worth my time

Because sex is everywhere, it’s too easy for me to have

What I need is for a woman to be my better half

So I need to be inside of you, and create new life

Be inside of your mind, and receive a new wife

Let me taste your vibes, and inhale your intent

And then let me thank God for this new angel’s descent

I just want to listen to the sound of your voice

Notice the inflection, intonation, and even your words of  choice

Dissect your tendencies, and understand the intricacy

Of no potty mouth, you won’t use any sort of obscenities

Explicitly examine you from your toe to above

And then come to grips with the fact that I’m about to be in love

So then I ask questions and find out how your day is going

And keep watching all those beautiful characteristics you’ve been showing

Paying very close attention to all the details that roll in

But then you smile and make me blush and I don't know what to do so then

I make a fool of myself when you tell me you’re in a situation

Now you don’t say you have a man but I get the insinuation

I know he’s not treating you right, he’s doing it all wrong

He won’t even make you a playlist of all of your favorite songs

My name is Avery, not Mary, but I can love you better than he can

I can show you that I can love you better than any man

You’ve just got to give me the opportunity, just give me a chance

And I promise you’ll have dreams of us sharing our first dance

And then I put that ring on your finger and it’s a pretty big rock

And I just can’t stop crying the tears just won’t stop

But I don’t want to stop crying I want to be open to you

And if God wasn’t in the way I’d give all of the oceans to you

Baby I️ wanna give you the world. The world and then some

Take you to carnivals, see teddy bears and win some

Let my friends be mad and say “I️ hate to see them come”

But they’re only mad cuz I️ got you they’ve got to get them one

But I can’t do that… because I still don’t know you

But there’s a ton of interesting things that I still can’t show you

I’ll have to wait, for you to show up and trust me

And then eventually, for you to let go and love me

All of my annoying qualities, hopefully you can love them,

Soon to be yours, sincerely, your future husband
