Joy Is A Bird

Joy is a bird.
That flies in and out my window.
When it flies in my window.
It sings songs of happiness.
Skies are blue; world at peace.
And all things bright; when it's here.
When it flies out my window.
It leaves behind songs sadness.
Skies are grey; world at war.
And all things dark; when it's gone.
Want to capture this bird forever.
But it's best to set it free.
Because joy is a bird.
That was meant to come and go.
But still I know; when I'm down.
It will fly in to rescue me.
