the dead rose

There it is

The dead rose

It signifys his life

The life he never got to justify

The life he never dreamed of.

There it is, that dead rose

Lying on the floor.

It does not suck in water

It just lives to die

Its petals begin to come off.

And yet it lies

Dead, unconscious.

When spring comes it won't bloom

Because,

Its dead and so is his past life.

Dead to become new.
