Poems about Animals
Deep into the twilight of night
When the wind whistles
And the crickets play their melodies
Darkness.
With new eyes one can see a whole new world.
From learning how to survive
To failing to cope,
His amber sunset eyes glare upwards
Seeing past things as they are
For what they should be;
Why do you hate me?
What did I Do?
I remember,
"Animals to good Homes"
That's what the sign said.
Cat.
A domesticated housepet.
Kitty-cat.
A precious animal.
Feline.
A mysterious creature.
I write for the lost souls dead and alive
The ones that don't know how to express themselves
We have the gaudy flamingos,
the noisy chimpanzees,
the untamed geese
and the proud lions.
