The Rose

A rose
Beautiful, with sharp prickly points
Viewed from any angle, it is still a rose
From an optimist's perspective,
A wonderful bloom of color
From a pessimist's eyes,
A withered, flowerless vine,
We took a stroll through a forest of trees
Tall they stood with sturdy wood yet leaning in the breeze
Animals played and shrubs did grow
Everything balanced even the talons of the black and daunting crow
