(Verse 1)  Get up on time Spend every dime On bus fare to get to work Got a hole in your pocket and now you're ten cents short And the bus driver is being a jerk
(Verse 1) Doesn't get along with others Doesn't follow the rules She's too slow at everything she does Another letter sent home from school You'd better have a talk with her about her bad ways
(Verse 1) The water was warm in the water bed You were standing in the doorway of my room When I looked at you and said  "Come and sail on with me, on a voyage of love"
(Verse 1) You were from Vermont I was from Michigan I said "My state is known for it's Great Lakes" You turned around with a sheepish grin and said "Mine's known for Maple syrup trees and pancakes"
(Verse 1) Sitting in her room, just longing to be free But the evil side of her mind, will not let her be Years of torture and years of pain Created the monster within her brain And it won't leave
I was raised to keep my issues bottled I live with a family where communication is a problem Introverted pacifist, avoiding all confrontation When I try to speak, I stutter, failing all articulation
