Figment and The Writer
A young writer looked down
With a frown and a sigh than
Suddenly with a push and a pull
The words leaped up as the main character
Frantically sinking into the Sea of Death
Trying to catch a single breath
A breath of life
That--- for a moment--- can take away the constant strife
The sea:
a light flickers,
flits, sees my face, turns back.
I call, reach, shield from the rain on
the waves that, crashing, cover the figment,
which drowns, choking, a bubbly laugh
