In the markets, numbers soar and fall, A dance of money, a constant brawl, Economy, the grand machine, Whose workings no one can quite glean.   Supply and demand, the golden rule,
The wheels of commerce turn and spin, A complex system, a game to win, Money flows in a ceaseless stream, A juggernaut, a capitalist dream.   From market stalls to corporate towers,
Amidst the ebbs and flows of life, The economy stands tall and rife, A system of trade, a force of change, A web of transactions, an endless exchange.   It ebbs and flows like a tide,
Shhh! Can you hear that? Can you hear the silence? It's killing you slowly; Mince to mince. Look at those people around you, Suffering the same thing that you do. They were enjoying peace;

Who knew  one could be so  submissive . . . ? mopping and cleaning plates for mere tips We dream and play  until one day it slips Not a care for others
Gazing into the bowels of the beast known as Boomtown I watch as its victims succumb to the temptations The depravations The unending depreciation Of small-town America All sparked by a foul-smelling black fuel.
We pray for those that died with need, From the hands of those with selfish greed. We can only hope for times of great prosperity, But can't because of our brothers in dreaded poverty.
Run son Look how far we have come The worlds a better place and our problems are undone But have we really took the leap we thought? So many things are wrong with this one life we got
This morning I woke up and all I saw was black. I never knew the world could be so cold and lonely. But now I watch as: My mom loses her job and her house. So I sit here, In my bed, Wondering if I am next.
