Slam for Trayvon

Painting by Susan Kricorian

Saturday, July 13th, 2013 marked the close of a controversial and emotionally triggering trial involving the killing of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman.  This trial also coincides with an astonishing rise of gun violence in the U.S, where increasingly more victims are people of color.

Whatever your standpoint may be, Power Poetry is providing this slam as a safe forum where you can share your opinion, and write about what this means to you.
