so much I’ve denied,
thinking my husband really cares,
yet deep down inside,
I knew it was true,...

I slam about race, religion, and psychology.
The sins of the father,
passed...
Not really sober,
holding tightly, white knuckling,
A dry drunk defined.
Fob! “Fresh off the boat!”,
broken English and clothes mocked,
identity split.
Fleeing Vietnam,
death, danger, diaspora,
refugee status.
