I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love.
I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
I awake with a nervous tic above my heart
never a good way for my day to start
for fear I do not my wife impart

I rise with my mind set...
I rise from my patio throne
with heart sorrowing for visions unseen.
My transitory images soon undone,
He cautions never to take thine eyes...
Jesus, the water of Life;
in all the faces we meet;
eternal promise of togetherness.
