As I look back on those days when I was young
When the sky was blue and the grass was green
I remember playing with boys and girls my age...
I often see my mind as a mountain of Ice,
A huge fortress of strength, intelligence and greatness.
Like a monolith that will last for eons...
You can take your cities
Your cars
Your bars
Your asphalt roads
And tall billboards,
And starless,
Smog-filled skies.
I’ll stick with my...
I see dead people
Every moment of every day.
They think they are living, but they are not.
I see them wearing suits
Their hair combed nice...
I can hear the bell tolling
Almost every minute
Of every day.
It all started years ago
When my dog died.
It was a simple murmur then....
