The insights that I have gained from developing my personal mission statement are that to people, I am fun, caring, social, grounded, and helpful. I can’t say that just one aspect has inspired me because all of these characteristics are the reasons that make me the loving person that I am today. I plan to do my best in achieving as high as I can, not only in academics but also in developing friendships and maintaining the unique individuality I was blessed with because selling myself short is not an option in my life. Every day, I promise to use my abilities to help those in need for the greater good, to right what is wrong in my surroundings, to make people smile and know that there is still some good in the world, and to encourage those to love themselves as much as possible. I believe that the inner part of a person is what counts the most and self-respect is the greatest present one can give to him/herself. I know that I am not perfect, but to try everyday to become the motivating figure that I would absolutely love to become in the end is worth the wait, struggle, and happiness.
