Love is such a big word,
not to be taken lightly.
Words like "I love you"
sometimes tumble out
without much thought
and it's dangerous.
...
I'm not so good with words
or picking up on "social cues"-
or maybe I am.
In fact, I think I'm too good.
I pick up on things that aren't...
Masks have always scared me.
I was never a fan of them,
I hated the Halloween aisle at the grocery store,
I didn't want to try them on....
The things that are kept inside
are the things that no one sees.
It's the things that are hidden by a smile
or a laugh
or a shirt sleeve....
