My daddy sleeps out in the stable
Along with the other beasts we keep
We don’t miss him at the table
He quenches thirst til Mama weeps
But...
I’ve never thought far past the present
Until I saw how soon my years went
And thought dear God, I might be an adult
And thought my adult...
I dreamt I was drowning in the raging sea
Cold iron was harshly pulling me
Down to the depths as I choked on fire
And as my flailing arms...
Hey Mama, don’t make me come inside
In our creek sparkling fairies reside
They scared me at first so I hid in the reeds
But I gazed upon...
Clear skies on the outside besides
the whirlwind taking over inside
Everyone else sees you as a kind man
but I want to know you,...
