Poems from beechambers
So you're thinking about running
And it's less about the outcome,
the hardened muscles and lean body,
And more about the feel of wind...
I take the stage
And my palms are sweating
The bass begins to beat
The light illuminates my skin
As a young girl
I ate bananas
to calm...
I don't wake up crying anymore. And I'm through trying.
It's not that I've been lying.
But you don't keep me up at night like you used to....
I sat with my first love today
Together we lamented of things past
When out of nowhere a deafening crash
Removed from my trance I stared...
