My name is Marlene Rashidi, I was born during war in Congo. I grew up in South Africa where I learned English from.I've always wanted to be a writer ever since I was 10 years old, I loved stories and poems too. Life is hard and you have to reduce the hardness in it, by just trying. I started publishing some of my poems and short stories when I was 12 years old, I'm still trying to accomplish my dreams. I was born to inspire by whatever little I have, I dare to dream and not only dream I dreamt reality. I've experienced things that can make me a better writer in years to come. Life has episodes that might want to bring you down, so try not to let them. I have two Brothers and two young sisters. All my poems are dedicated to my Mother Masoka Rashidi and so is to my brave and hard working father Magombora Rashidi. Life for me is easy and peaceful here in the U.S.In Africa you never know weather you'd die today or tomorrow. In God We ought to trust
