Poems from Murecia_Brister
Let's sip chai teas
In dark coffee shops
Wear big sun hats
Thicken our faux lens frames
Hike our skirts to our waists
Cut our hair to seem...
I crouch real low
And it tightens my chest
All my good thoughts deflected
From my life proof vest
It keeps me from sunlight
And locks me...
A fog blocks my thoughts
A weight pulls at my arms
I work to write the words
No matter how much it harms
I block out the noises
And...
The days grow slow
My eyes grow weak
Soon I wish to simply sleep
For days or hours, I've begun to lose track
So far lost
I can't get back...
Her crystalized eyes fill with a temptuous lust
Mine shadow with doubt;
Not a feeling to trust
She promises joy
One I've not truly felt...
